A mentor is the one who helps you in your professional journey and provides direction that you may need in order to accomplish your career goals. In an effort to improve upon certain skills in our lives, a mentor acts as a career coach and our career champion towards our success. A mentor essentially fills those gaps that are missing from your career and professional development growth.

How it works for a Mentee:

• Book a session

To book a session, login to your Intercell platform dashboard and follow below step:

• Step 1: Click on "Speak to a Mentor" tab.
• Step 2: Select your career field.
• Step 3: Choose your sub-specialization and click "Save and Continue" tab.
• Step 4: Select the Mentor you wish to speak to.
• Step 5: Select the time from the available slots.
• Step 6: Mention your session expectation and click on "Save and Continue" tab.
• Step 7: Review your session request and click on "Confirm" tab.

Note:

• 1. Each Mentoring session is upto 60 minutes
• 2. Session can be booked only after 24 hours from the booking time.

• Session Request Response

Mentor may approve/cancel/reschedule the session request.

Approve:Once Mentor has approved the session, you will receive the notification with the payment link.

Reschedule: If Mentor has requested to reschedule the session, your session request will get Auto cancelled and you may book a session at the rescheduled time.

Cancel: Mentor might cancel your session request due to his unavailability. You can book a session with another Mentor.

• Payment

Make payment for the session and your session is confirmed.

You will receive an email and a message notification on your registered email id and contact number respectively, with your session start link, 30 minutes before the session time. You can also join the session through your Intercell dashboard (web/app), by clicking on "Start" tab under sessions.

Intercell Career Card is a prepaid gift card which has a coupon code with set validity. The holder of the card can apply the coupon code while booking the session.

How to use : Intercell E-Career card

• Step 1: Visit www.intercellworld.com or download the Intercell app on your mobile.
• Step 2: Register as a Student/Professional Mentee.
• Step 3: Browse through the career fields.
• Step 4: Book a session with your selected Mentor.
• Step 5: Apply your E-Career Card coupon code while booking a Mentoring session on the final confirm order page.

Incase you have missed you to apply the coupon code in confirm order page, you can apply the same on payment page.

• Start the session by giving a quick introduction about yourself and ask the Mentor for a brief introduction about himself.
• Have a structured approach towards the session, start the session with questions you want clarity upon.
• Discuss live examples/experiences and exchange ideas to gain practical knowledge.
• Ask for next steps for your career advancement
• End the session on a positive and warm note.

**Do not share your personal contact details with each other and only encourage use of Intercell for future interaction**

On the successful completion of your Virtual Mentoring session, you will receive an E-Certificate and a Career report.

The E-Certificate will be shared on your registered mail ID. This certificate will have your session information related to Mentor name, date, career field etc

The Career Report is a synopsis of your session, containing questions and answers for your career's reference.

You must:

• Check your network connections for an uninterrupted session.

• Have your questions and topic of discussions ready.

• Be polite and transparent.

• Explain your queries and doubts in detail to the Mentor

• Give the best possible information and explanation to the Mentor so that he/she can guide you in the best possible way

• Be cautious of the words and language during sessions; facial expressions are also important if the Student/Professional has opted for a video call

• Connect with the Mentor through Intercell platform only. Do not ask or share for mobile numbers. Intercell will not be responsible for any outcome if the session happens outside the platform.

You must avoid:

• Confrontational conversations.

• Sharing personal details with Mentor.

• Making personal remarks and judgments.

• Having an unprofessional and callous attitude.
